THE QUIET ART OF TAKING THINGS APART
Lariat MoonworkRelease the loop.
A tiny machine, a patient mind. Free every copper ring — sometimes you must put one back to let another go.
HOW THE MACHINE WORKS
A rhythm of holding and letting go
- Free every ring from the anchor rail. A ring in the lower tray is released.
- Ring 1 can always move, in either direction.
- Any other ring can move only when the ring immediately to its left is held, and every ring further left is released.
- A legal move may attach a ring again. This is essential, not a mistake. The lit dots show which rings can move.
Example: to move ring 4, hold ring 3 and release rings 1 and 2. Rings to the right never affect your move.
Keys: 1–7 move a ring · U undo · H nudge · R restart. Buttons also work with Tab and Enter. A nudge only highlights the next ring on a shortest route; you make the move.
Finish a study to save its best move count on this device. Perfect runs earn a copper seal. No clock, no lives, unlimited undo.
