Lariat Moonwork is an original MIT game and procedural SVG artwork. Its interlocking rules are the classic Chinese-rings / Baguenaudier mechanism; all eight starting studies, interface and code are newly authored.
Theme inspiration: Vienna BioCenter, October 7, 2026, Splicing’s final act. Fictional mechanical rules, not a biological model. No paper text or images copied.
GitHub candidate research reference only: Series of Tubes (198 stars observed November 7, 2026; MIT; recently maintained). Rejected because already deployed. No upstream code or assets reused. Other candidates required backends, overlapped existing games or lacked suitable licenses.
All preferred-form source is served directly: game.js, style.css, index.html and icon.svg. No build step: serve these seven files together at the site root. No network dependencies, backend or external authentication.
